02 / CHALLENGE

The problem behind the interface

THE PROBLEM

Care-service workflows combine personal information, appointments and payments. Older and diverse users can encounter friction when forms and next steps are unclear.

WHY IT MATTERS

Confusing payment and care tasks undermine confidence precisely when people need reassurance and straightforward choices.

03 / PROCESS

How I approached it

01

UNDERSTAND

Conducted interviews and usability testing to understand pain points for older and diverse users.

DESIGN

Produced more than 20 interface improvements across core care flows, including a redesigned payment experience.

03

ITERATE

Applied WCAG-informed hierarchy, form clarity and feedback patterns across web and mobile.

05 / OUTCOME

Outcome, evidence and limitations

+30%

Reported user confidence

+25% satisfaction

Resume-reported user satisfaction change

SCALING
The direction of the reported feedback is useful, it should be used along with additional user testing to curate a standard across different environments and scenarios

06 / REFLECTION

How confidently older adults navigate healthcare and payment workflows. Usability testing could help assess accessibility, task completion, and ease of use, while identifying opportunities to reduce friction and build trust.
